Academy of Country Music Nominees

Brad Paisley has been nominated in six categories for this year's Academy of Country Music Awards, including top Male Vocalist, Album of the year for Time Well Wasted, Single of the year for Alcohol, Song of the year, Video of the year and Vocal Event -- a duet with Dolly Parton.
Brooks & Dunn and Sugarland have five nominations each.
Brooks & Dunn got the nod for entertainer of the year along with Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban.Other nominees for top male vocalist were Dierks Bentley, George Strait, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban.
Top female vocalist nods went to Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson and Lee Ann Womack.
Carrie Underwood landed her first ACM nominations. She is up for Female Vocalist, Top New Female Vocalist, Song & Single of The Year for Jesus, Take The Wheel. The most solo female nominations
If Carrie wins both the Top New Female Vocalist and Female Vocalist categories, she will be only the second artist to do so in the Academy's 41-year history.
By the way, Alan Jackson is not on the list. Darn!
Winners of the 41st annual awards will be announced May 3 when the academy stages its show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. CBS will carry the broadcast.
